Polat Group started out as a private firm in 1955 and developed in the course of time by founding various new companies that were eventually grouped under İbrahim Polat Holding Inc., which was established in 1982. A total of 8 subsidiary companies, 7 of them founded in Turkey and 1 abroad, operate in the sectors of construction, ceramic & sanitary ware manufacturing, tourism and energy.
As subsidiaries of the Holding, a total of eight companies—seven established domestically and one abroad—operate in the construction, ceramics and sanitaryware manufacturing, tourism, and energy sectors.
The companies in the ceramic industry manufacture both raw materials and auxiliary products that are used in the ceramic industry and construction materials such as ceramic articles and sanitary ware, that are used in the constructions that are undertaken by construction companies, and hence operate according to a chain manufacturing philosophy that creates high added-value.
The construction companies within the Holding build prestigious residential buildings and business centers as well as their own hotels which are then managed by tourism companies benefiting from Marriot's experience.
